Foreign Diplomats visit (NISAS and NRECC)

A delegation of 14 foreign diplomats from the United States, United Kingdom, Turkiye, Nigeria, Malaysia, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Egypt visited Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) Headquarters, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Chairman PNRA, Mr. Faizan Mansoor welcomed the diplomats on their visit to PNRA Headquarters. During the visit, the diplomats were briefed about PNRA and its functions.

The dignitaries visited the National Radiation Emergency Coordination Centre (NRECC) of PNRA and they commended the state of the art emergency centre, and praised PNRA on its capability of preparedness, coordination and response arrangements in emergency situations. The delegation of foreign diplomats also visited the National Institute of Safety and Security (NISAS), an IAEA collaborating centre for nuclear security. The delegation admired the training facilities maintained at NISAS.

The delegation praised the effective nuclear regulatory mechanism and infrastructure for nuclear safety and security in Pakistan.
