Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) conducted the National Workshop for the stakeholders on the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) Response and Assistance Network (RANET) at PNRA Headquarters, Islamabad, from September 22 to 24, 2025.

During the workshop, participants exercised Pakistan’s arrangements under the Convention on Assistance in Case of a Nuclear Accident or Radiological Emergency and underlined the importance of international cooperation for timely and effective response.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Mr. Mohammad Qayyum (S.I.), Member (Corporate) PNRA, emphasized that the national capacity and contributing to the global mechanisms under RANET are the Pakistan’s commitment to the convention. He noted that continued training and collaboration enhance readiness and trust, and urged participants to apply the knowledge gained to remain prepared for future challenges.
