Holding of International Workshop on Nuclear Security Culture in Practice from April 23-26, 2018 at PNRA HQs, Islamabad

PNRA in collaboration with IAEA organized an International Workshop on "Nuclear Security Culture in practice" from 23-26 April 2018 at PNRA HQs. The objective of the training workshop has been to highlight the importance of nuclear security culture to ensure an effective nuclear security; enhance basic understanding and concept of the nuclear security culture; increase understanding of the key elements of nuclear security culture by internalizing these elements through several group discussions; encourage the participants to review their daily behaviors through the lens of nuclear security culture and consider optimal ways of improvement; provide the participants with an opportunity to consider the roles and responsibilities of the state, organizations, managers within organizations, and individuals for the promotion of nuclear security culture in their respective country and organization; and familiarize the participants with the tools and methodologies for self-assessment and enhancement through group exercises and simulation practices.

Mr. Muhammad Naeem, HI, SI Chairman (PAEC) inaugurated the training workshop. A total number of 20 International participants including IAEA experts and seven participants from Pakistan participated in the workshop.
