A three days “National Workshop on International Physical Protection Advisory Services (IPPAS)”, was held from 10 – 12 September 2024 at PNRA HQ, Islamabad, under the NISAS -IAEA Collaborating Center.

The workshop was inaugurated by Member (Executive), Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment and preparation for the IPPAS mission planned in 2025-2026. The IAEA team led by Mr. Nicolas DELAUNAY (IAEA) including experts from Lithuania and United Kingdom shared their valuable knowledge and experience.

The objective of this workshop was to provide essential information for effective preparation and conduct of International Physical Protection Advisory Service (IPPAS) missions.

A total of twenty-six (26) participants from Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), Strategic Plans Division (SPD), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) attended the workshop.
