The Human Resource Development Directorate is
responsible for the capacity building of PNRA. HRD functions are
divided into three main categories; a systematic assessment of future
manpower requirements of various directorates, recruitment of scientists/engineers
and organizing long and short term professional trainings and refresher
courses for competency development.
Assessment of Manpower Requirement
HRD assesses the existing and future manpower requirement of the
whole organization and review their competencies by training need
analysis. It identifies training courses at the junior, intermediate
and senior levels for each directorate to meet the gap and enable
employees to perform their job to set professional standards.
Education and Training
HRD develops competencies, knowledge, skills and abilities of technical
officers through indigenous training programs so as to improve the
effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. PNRA School for
Nuclear Safety has been established within HRD in order to develop
and maintain a sustainable training program for the new inductees
as well as senior technical officers. The school has conducted several
training courses so far.
